In one of the videos Deepanshu Sir said that Black color doesn’t absorb energy from the surroundings so people wear black dress during funerals so that they don’t absorb the negative energy in the funeral. Also he said that white color absorbs energy from surroundings.

But recently I saw a video of Sri Sadhguru, he said the complete opposite of what Deepanshu sir said. He said black color absorbs energy (including light) and advised to avoid it at all cost. He suggested that white color doesn’t absorb energy or light. So in India during funerals people wear white so that they don’t absorb negative energy.

Practically, I have seen Indian people wearing white during funerals and the western people (usually USA) wearing black dress during funerals (seen only in films).

What is the correct answer? Should black dress be avoided always?

From my experience, both black and white color bring me trouble so I avoid them both.
