The question is “Do you think horoscope really matters?”

and my answer is “It depends”.

See, more than 50% of world’s population is unaware of their birth details & out of rest, almost another 40% of world’s population is not believing in astrology or horoscope. So roughly we may interpret that almost 90% people are unaware of their horoscope.

One thing here is very important to note that whether one believes or not but astrology works so prudently & perfectly. It is not important to sit idle with the horoscope in the hand & waiting for favorable time but important here is to work (your karma). Almighty has sent us to perform certain karmas(work) with some joys, sorrows, pleasures and sufferings. By even reading one’s horoscope, there is no remedies to get rid of these fruits of your life whether it is pleasure or pain.

In bhagvad geeta, Lord Krishna has clearly said to all humanbeings…

(Karmanye Vadhikaraste, Ma phaleshou kada chana,

Ma Karma Phala Hetur Bhurmatey Sangostva Akarmani )

This verse is from the Bhagawad Gita, where Arjuna was not willing to fight the Epic war of Mahabhaarat and Krishna explains to him to perform his duties.

Meaning…

Karmanye Vadhikaraste, Ma phaleshou kada chana – You have a right to perform your prescribed duty,but you are not entitled to the fruits of actions

Ma Karma Phala Hetur Bhurmatey Sangostva Akarmani – Never consider yourself the cause of the results of your activities, and never be attached to not doing your duty.

In simple terms it means: Keep on performing your duties without expecting for any reward in return, leading a selfless life – this it what it is all about.

So from the above mentioned verse it is very clear to all of us that we should perform our duties without expecting any fruits either from anyone or even from Astrology. So we should not wait for favorable period or planetary transits, we should act, perform our duties whole-heartedly. Because you will get what you are destined for…
