Sacrifice without any expectations and intentions is pure donation to the person or thing for which you are ready to give yourself up. It is a beautiful thing in itself. Gautam Buddha sacrificed his own body with a tough decision that he just won’t get up until he gains knowledge of supreme. That sacrifice of comfort and extremity brought him enlightenment. But you see, he didn’t even think that he was sacrificing something, it was just natural to him. Many many yogis have sacrificed so much with such purity that they themselves don’t remember it. Such divinity is seen in our mothers, gurus, and other beings who are just living to see us happy.
