Dhanishtha is the 23rd Nakshatra of Vedic Astrology, with the literary significance of ‘Wealthiest One and greatly beneficent’. Dhanishtha is able of adoring a person with happiness, estate, prestige, and importance. It also sends many kinds of joys in life and facilitates people with this nakshatra to oversee happy beings. A number of Vedic astrologers assign the harmonious drum as the major symbol of this nakshatra which links this nakshatra with lyrical trainings. So people with this nakshatra are willing towards song or another art form like dance. The image of a Flute is also related to the lyrical tendency of this nakshatra, as just like the drum, a Flute is also an open musical tool and has the ability to establish harmonious music out of almost nothing. Some Vedic astrologers consider Lord Shiva as the ultimate presiding deity of this nakshatra due to his capacity to establish music and dance.
