Retrograde planet is not moving backward but in fact from the earth it looks like backward motion of that planet. Normally retrograde motion is anomaly from earth because suddenly direct motion of the planet gets halted and start moving backward so mind of people here on the earth feels uncomfortable and some sort of panic when the planet start retrogression.
Moreover, whenever any planet start retrogression, it is apparent that it is passing very close from the earth with very slow speed. so it will spend more time in one sign / nakshatra / pada when in retrogression. In addition, Sun is the king of solar system, so all the planets would abide to the norms set by king. But when any planets start retrogression, it overrule the norms and it will become uncontrolled. So based on its placement in natal chart whether malefic or benefic, it will give uncontrolled & abundant effects while in retrogression.
So if one has retrograde planet in natal chart, then whenever the same planet gets its dasa or close transits, it will give more effects whether malefic or benefic…
Jupiter is natural benefic planet normally so these people will get abundant benefits in its dasa or close transit but if any one has functional malefic jupiter in natal chart then for those people, jupiter would give uncontrolled losses.
